Support Us
We would not exist without the support of our local community.
There are many ways you can help us as an individual or as a business.
Volunteer With BIG
We rely on volunteers to run our service. You could use your time, skills and expertise by volunteering with BIG to give something back to the local community and help to improve people’s lives. Volunteering is rewarding and has many benefits including : gaining new skills; making new friends; improving confidence and self-esteem. Volunteering also gives a sense of purpose, satisfaction and accomplishment. The social aspect of volunteering can help to combat depression by reducing isolation. We are particularly keen on providing opportunities to people who have their own experience of mental health conditions.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
All volunteer opportunities will be advertised here.

Give as you earn (Payroll Giving)
As an employer, you can encourage and enable your employees to donate to BIG direct from their salaries or pension. The donations are taken before income tax is deducted, making it tax-effective for staff. If your company already has a payroll giving scheme, simply encourage your employees to contact the payroll department and nominate Bury Involvement Group (BIG) in Mental Health as their chosen charity. If your company does not have a payroll giving scheme please visit the HM Revenue & Customs website to find out how you can easily introduce one. Some people already donate to our charity through CAF Give As You Earn. This is the UK’s number one payroll giving scheme for employers.
